The wife of F1 legend Michael Schumacher once revealed he almost chose not to go skiing on the day their family's life changed forever.

On December 29, 2013, the seven-time F1 champion hit his head on a rock while skiing in the French resort of Meribel.

He suffered a near-fatal brain injury that left him in a coma until June 16, 2014.

His other half, Corinna, has since kept as much information private as possible, along with any updates about her iconic husband, who has not been seen in public since he came out of his coma.

While she refuses to talk about Schumacher's current physical and mental condition in any detail, she offered fans a glimpse into their last-known conversation prior to the incident.

Heartbreakingly, it was a discussion that could have stopped Schumacher, 55, from entering those slopes 11 years ago.
