Pageantry in the Philippines started in the year as the Americans introduced Manila Carnival to the Philippines. The highlight of the event is the Carnival Queen which select girls from all over the Philippine as well as in the United States as the Queen of the Orient for the Philippines and the Queen of the Occident for the United States.
