Dr Mark Sean D’Arcy (born July 20th 1975) is a British scientist, university lecturer, and science director of Athanasia Genetics Limited.
His scientific publications focus on cellular biology and molecular genetics. With a more specific focus on the major forms of cell death and cellular repair (apoptosis and autophagy respectively).
Dr Mark D'Arcy is interested in the mechanisms involved in cell death and survival.His paper entitled ‘Cell death: a review of the major forms of apoptosis, necrosis and autophagy’ has been cited (according to google scholar) 892 times, making it one of the most highly cited articles in the field in recent years.
